TOCA ME

TOCA ME

04/12/10: Subtly creating a fuss MId-week in soho for some time now, Toca Me is usually a regular Thursday night affair, taking over the snazzy ground floor of the plush Green Carnation in Soho for a night of hot house sounds and handsome homos. On the flipside to Toca Me’s subtle suave style, we at QX and our gaggle of glitterous ones are notorious for always creating a fuss wherever we go. We can’t help it, we’re never ones to go anywhere quietly, and with the word out around Toca Me’s first Saturday night event it was inevitable that we’d swagger in to check out the buzz and the boys. Now we’ve popped in to the regular Thursday events here in the past and had to frequently pick our jaws up off the floor for the amount of talent on display, but last week we were positively dragging our gnashers around as we scoped out the delectable men on offer. Not your average clubber, the guys here are a more sophisticated clientele, the smartly dressed, platinum AMEX flashing type – more BA Air Miles collecting than Tesco Club Card carrying queens. We arrived early for the Red Bull pre-party and sauntered into the VIP area to check out the fine folk nestled behind the velvet rope, and enjoyed a complimentary cocktail or three. Lest we forget, we should mention the specially customized Patrick Cox cupcakes – the last time we tasted a handful of anything so divine we ended up dating him for three months! Over on the dancefloor a couple of droolsome gogos gyrated under the lights as over 650 guys made the most of the atmosphere. It may have been cold as ice outside, but it was hot as a summer’s night in Rio in here! Toca Me returns in 2011… watch this space for details.
