Have You Met Stan?

May 28 @ 9:00 pm
£21
Have You Met Stan? is being staged in London and Brighton Theatres.

Awarded the Brighton Fringe Musical Theatre Bursary Award, Have You Met Stan? had a successful premiere at Oxford’s OFFBEAT Festival. The musical is set to return with performances in London and Brighton. This new production highlights the experiences of queer EU migrant voices in post-Brexit Britain.

Have You Met Stan? tells a musical story involving bead-clenching Catholic mothers, EU migration, and shabby Irish pubs.

The play follows the emotional journey of two young immigrants – Séan from Ireland, and Stan from Poland.

Set in the early 2010s against a backdrop of “job stealing”, anti-immigration campaigns, and changing attitudes to homosexuality, the story explores themes of identity, trauma, and the immigrant experience.
