Directed by Peter Mountford, this intimate cabaret-style performance explores her battles with Warner Studios for artistic independence and highlights Davis’s fascination with Queen Elizabeth I. She portrayed Queen Elizabeth twice during her career. Bette Davis had a reputation as Hollywood’s biggest “bitch,” and her life was as dramatic off-screen as on.
