Two sensational singing sisters doing renditions of some of the most divalicious hits from stage and screen? How can you turn THAT down?

Siblings Ria Jones and Ceri Dupree (both VERY camp names, 10 points for that) are both West End legends. Just some of Ria’s many credits are Joseph and the Technicolour Dreamcoat, High Society, and Grizabella in Cats (!). According to the Daily Mail, she’s got “a Maserati of a voice”. That’s the sort of thing Britney Spears would say. YOU WANNA MASERATI. She’s also been on Torchwood. We’re not sure why or when. Maybe she played a singing alien.

Then there’s Ceri, whose theatre credits include The Rocky Horror Show and The Wizard of Oz. It really doesn’t get gayer than that does it? OR DOES IT? She had a four-part show on ITV called “Ceri Dupree Unfrocked” *flings feather boa over shoulder, descends stairs*

Anyway, now the two of them are hitting the effortlessly classy St James Studio Theatre for their newest venture, Miss-Leading Ladies. A set of rip-roaringly rambunctious shows which pay homage to the Divas. And that’s Divas with a capital “D”. No Katy Perry or Miley Cyrus here. It’s Doris Day. It’s Marlene Diqetrich. It’s Danny La Rue. Plus a whole host of other salacious sirens spanning sixty years of showbiz.

OH, and it’s all overseen and directed by Sarah-Louise Young. Now SHE, is one to look out for. If you see her there perched on a bar stool coolly stirring a martini, go and talk to her. If for no other reason than the fact she was once in a one-woman show called Cabaret Whore. Best. Name. Ever.

•Miss-Leading Ladies runs from 5th – 30th August. St James Studio Theatre, 12 Palace Street, SW1E 5JA. Tickets from £12.
