Bleach your hair, buy ten pairs of mirrored Primark aviators and shove a stick of rock up your arse, because it’s time for…BRIGHTON PRIDE. Well, it’s not quite time yet. It’s not until August. Which is still quite a while away. We might have been turned into a Pret by August.
BUT, the fact that they’re already getting things underway is testament to what a PRODUCTION Brighton Pride is. The Mariah Carey of prides! But with less attitude and less Ferrero Rochers. They’re the UK’s biggest pride, and this year looks set to be bigger than ever.
As always the festivities will be revolving around three massive events over the weekend: the parade, the village party and the main festival. The parade is a kaleidoscopic glitter cannon of drag queens, muscle queens in silver lame hotpants, and slightly confused mums, while the village party is general fun, drinking and debauchery supported by local businesses (always the best bit really).
THEN, this year for the main festival they’ve got a fuckin’ wicked lineup of artists! Fuckin’ wicked mate! There’s lascivious lioness Fleur East (PLAY THAT SAX), dance leviathans Freemasons (WHEN LOVE TAKES OOOOVVER), Sean Miley Moore (hoop earrings), DJ Fresh (HOT RIGHT NOW) and EDM superstar, Kid Massive! We can’t name any of his lyrics, but you’ll definitely know his songs!
Anyway, whether you’re a Fleur East fag or a Freemasons fanny (?), you’ll have a blast at…BRIGHTON PRIDE. The reason we’re telling you about it now, is they’ve already opened up booking for tickets and accommodation. Get in there now, it gets booked quickly. See you there! *puts on aviator shades, pouts*
