Who’s that girl? It’s Lady Olé! Lady Olé are some of London’s most bizarre, fabulous partystarters. They’re unique, amazing and a LITTLE bit unhinged. But all the best parties are born from being a little bit unhinged. Where would we be without sprinkles of insanity? QX Magazine certainly wouldn’t exist, that’s for blimmin’ sure!
Lady Olé are, essentially, a queer club night celebrating Spanglish or, if you like, Britespanish culture! The fabulous fusion between us and our clarion continental friends. We’re two nations closely linked by our love of cold meats, drinking and Shakira.
This is Lady Olé’s third venture in London and, for no discernible reason, they’ve decided to theme this party around Madonna and queen of Spanish pop, Marta Sanchez! In fact, it’s Madonna vs Marta and you have to pick a side! The requirements are all very specific. First, choose your artist (Madonna or Marta, obvs). Then, choose a period (80s, 90s or 00s). Choose an iconic song and look for its video. Finally, BECOME YOUR CHOSEN ARTIST. Which we’re guessing means, emulate their moves and stuff, and the’ve got special guest DJ Tay Arin. Ace!
As well as all THAT, they’ve got an appearance from dance troupe, The Five Madonnas! And you can just imagine what THEY’LL be like. Here’s a quote from them:
“Expect fights, falls and fireworks as the Madonna-off begins. Dust off your pointy bras, polish your wigs and prepare for a journey through the Material Girl’s best moments. Like a Virgin? You won’t be after this performance.’’
