Unique LGBT is a much-needed, friendly and welcoming support group for disabled and differently-abled people in the LGBT community.
They meet twice monthly in central London. It’s run by disabled people, and is inclusive for anyone from the LGBTQ+ community with either visible or invisible disabilities.
“As a Disabled QUEER LGBT man-come-drag queen, I’ve found the community can be hard and judgmental,” says founder Wayne “we’re all meant to be a community, but there are a lot of labels out there and having a Disability is not choice.”
“The group unique is a safe place for Disabled QUEER LGBT people to come and make new friends, and we give them support them in as much way as we can.”
The next Unique LGBT Disability group is meeting on April 2nd at London Friend,
86 Caledonian Road, N1 9DN. For more info, head to facebook.com/uniquelgbtuk
