The theme for next year’s Met Gala is…CAMP

The Met Gala is, basically a load of nonsense. Which is why we love it! It’s a chance for celebrities to dress up, get papped on a red carpet, and then get judged and objectified by us the day after. How fab! How 2007!

But we shouldn’t slag it off TOO much, because it is after all for charity. Raising money for the Metropolitan Museum of Art – culture, innit! What cultured little witches!

Anyway every year they have a theme – last year’s ‘Heavenly Bodies’ aesthetic raised predictable eyebrows for various religious and allegedly blasphemous connotations. How boring.

This year though, it’s altogether more excited. The theme. Is…CAMP!

Yes! Camp, dears! All things gaudy and tacky, draggy and slaggy. We can’t WAIT. We bet you £10 Madonna comes as a drag king. Celia Imrie will be excitedly rifling through her feather boa collection as we speak. You’re not invited Celia, soz hun.

The Met Gala’s not until May 6th 2019, so Cher’s got plenty of time to organise her headdress collection. Ho-ho!
