POW! Hastings Pride celebrate LGBTQ heroes

The goings on at this weekend’s pride festivities in Hastings


The third annual Hastings Pride begins with a march through the town, which will lead to the Oval a park overlooking the sea, where the days events will take place from midday until 10pm! There will be performances from other amazing acts through out the day including Booty Luv, Sigue Sigue Sputnik, Maggie K De Monde, a full arts tent and local acts such as the gorgeous Lovina Bell! With the Fountain on board its going to be Hasting’s biggest and best Pride event yet!

The Fountain on Queens are taking over the Main Stage from 7pm – 8:30pm bringing an immense line up of talent to the pride event with some of the UKs best drag and cabaret stars and pop royalty!

The award winning Mzz Kimberley is nothing short of a scene legend. A trans actress and cabaret performer, she is a star of theatre, stage and television, wowing audience’s all over the world with her vocal range and show-stopping performances. Whether she’s roller-skating, hula-hooping or simply hitting some crazy notes, Mzz Kimberley will never fail to entertain.

Holestar. Belting vocalist, DJ of other people’s music, writer of popular culture, promoter and mistress of ceremonies. She blurrs the boundaries between gender, the avant-garde and mass entertainment, pop culture and the underground through music and performance. One of the original line up of NYC Downlow, a regular face at the Vienna Life Ball and co founder of queer documentary dressed as a girl.

West End star Vinegar Strokes, also known as the female Whoopi Goldberg, is currently in the hit musical Jamie, sharing the stage with huge names since it’s opening night., as well as performing regularly across London and the UK. The South London diva with a big heart and big voice will be bring all the camp!

Dave The Bear is a multi talented force of nature, a singer, compere, boylesque legend and heartbreaker. His Royal Hairiness is set to show Brighton everything he has to offer with award winning burlesque skills he is will definitely set pulses racing. Harry Gay, queer campaigner, community organiser and DJ. When he is not helping run the UKs first LGBTIQ+ homeless shelter and community centre he is putting on queer dance parties all over the country, DJing queer bops and throwback pop. Joining Harry will also be in the incredible Liv Wynter and our own Gina!

Mutya Buena is a reality television sensation but more famously, an international solo recording artists with a distinctive and versatile style and hits including “Song 4 Mutya” and “Real Girl”! Not forgetting of course that she is one of the original Sugababes! A true pop legend she will be headlining The Fountain slot at Hastings Pride.

After taking over the Main Stage the Fountain will also be hosting the Official After Party from 9pm – 4am with more DJS and cabaret from the best of local and UK talent. We’re sure Mutya will be staying for a drink or two.

Direct Trains to Hastings from Charring Cross & London Bridge are every half an hour, with a travel time of 1 hour 30 mins.
