Fancy yourself an allusive chanteuse? Are you a budding queer performing wanting your big break? Well, this Pride season might make this your year as Pride in London launch their 7th annual Pride’s Got Talent. This is the search for the UK’s next biggest LGBT+ music and cabaret act. Here’s your chance to make an impression.

Anyone in the industry will tell you how important it is to develop a “BGF” (a big gay following). Pride in London are serving up the chance to impress on a silver platter. The winners receive a range of prizes, most of which is the chance to perform on stage at Trafalgar Square in front of an enormous crowd.

Talking about the competition, Head of Pride’s Got Talent and scintillating drag sensation Michael Twaits shared:

“Continuing our annual UK-wide talent competition, we’ll see dozens of up-and-coming LGBT+ artists from across the country perform to our judges, in what will be the start of their journey toward potentially performing on Pride in London stages on the 27th June.”

“The Pride’s Got Talent family has grown extensively over the past few years and we’re extremely proud to offer LGBT+ artists a platform where they can work, collaborate and support each other. The quality and diversity of applicants increases each year, and we can’t wait to see this year’s artists. They will all need everyone’s support, so please come out to the heats to cheer them on!”

So, how does it work? Well, let us break it down for you darling. The competition is split into two categories: Cabaret and Music. Once you submit your application, you’ll be invited to audition at various queer venues across London, from the Two Brewers to the Phoenix Arts Club. Six Heats will take place, followed on by the semi-finals and, of course, the super-tense, high-stakes final round.

To enter, apply to take part by submitting your Pride’s Got Talent application through the entry form on the Pride in London website. Applications close on Sunday 23rd February.
