The sculpture is a heart made with coloured mirror glass and features all seven colours of the rainbow, inlaid into resin and hung from a string of pearl beads. This special piece can be worn as a necklace or displayed as an Objet d’art as a possible wall hanging, window decoration or mobile. As with all of Logan’s creations, this is a one-off kind, handcrafted piece of art. This is the first piece Logan has made during lockdown. Logan wanted to create a work to help raise funds for a charity, inspired by the symbolism of rainbows in support of Key Workers during the Covid pandemic he created “Peace” . Aware of the impact the pandemic has had on the nation’s mental health, Andrew has decided to raise funds for an LGBTQ+ mental health charity Mind Out.

CEO of Mind Out, Helen Jones commented,

“The heart is beautiful and a very generous donation from Andrew. All the money raised through the auction will go directly to support LGBTQ+ people who experience mental health issues. We are really concerned about the rise in mental health issues during the current pandemic and how much of an impact this is having on LGBTQ people. Many of us are dealing with losing our previous support, living in inadequate and hostile situations and losing our livelihoods. Many people are experiencing a mental health crisis for the first time.”

The Rainbow Heart will be offered as a raffle prize in exchange for donations to MindOut, each £5 donation until 8pm on 5 July 2020 earning one ticket entry into the raffle. Details are:
