Rock the Ribbon and join the fight to end HIV transmission by 2030.

With World AIDS Day fast approaching on December 1, National AIDS Trust has launched a new collection of fabulous red ribbons and is calling for all to #RocktheRibbon with them.

Each World AIDS Day, people wear the red ribbon to express solidarity with people living with HIV and to remember those we have lost.

Not only is wearing one an excellent way of showing support for people living with a condition which is still, sadly, all too stigmatised, but the proceeds will go directly towards the charity’s vital work on HIV rights.

As well as their new red ribbon brooches, available in silver or gold, and more sparkly options, National AIDS Trust has pieces from iconic designers like Jasper Conran, Lulu Guinness and Shaun Leane.

There couldn’t be a more pivotal time to support the cause of HIV justice. We have made massive progress in recent years, and the goal of ending new transmissions by 2030 is finally within sight – but under-resourced health services threaten it. There are barriers to accessing testing and the prevention drug PrEP, and entrenched inequalities have always been a driver of HIV. To ensure the 2030 target is met, we need to keep talking about HIV, and we need to keep applying pressure.

Deborah Gold, NAT’s Chief Executive, told QX: Please #RocktheRibbon with us this World AIDS Day, and join us in the fight for a better future for people living with or affected by HIV.’
