The Fringe! Queer Film & Arts Festival programme will include over 86 films from 27 countries, 2 exhibitions, 23 Love Hub events and more events and arts programming.
Features in the programme include those already announced by QX: opening night film Underground Orange, closing night film Go Fish and Theda Hammel’s Stress Position.

The programme features the premiere of Emma Frankland’s Hearty alongside Juru & Vita’s This Is Ballroom, Fernanda Faya’s Neirud, Markus Zizenbacher’s The Life Of Sean Delear and Ames Pennington & Jos Bitelli’s Tops.
Fringe! archival and repertory screenings
These are an opportunity to watch queer classics on the big screen again, including James Baldwin: The Price Of The Ticket on Baldwin’s centenary celebrations, Madagascar Skin and Mermaids.
Shorts at Fringe! Queer Film & Arts Festival
There will be 11 short film programmes taking place this year, bringing diverse experiences and forms together. These include geographical focuses, including We Are Family and Collage à Trois, which examine queer experiences of people in or from specific regions, which Queer as Folk/Lore, a collaborative shorts programme with Otherness Archive and Qamerad, also addresses.

We can explore cruising in Cruising Utopia, psychedelia and dreams in Maybe This Time, and Summer in Daydream City . At the same time, community and the power of organising are the focus of Glimmers for the Revolution ,and Your Disco Needs You.

Open Arms and Body Language will present a range of experimental works.
Bang! at Fringe!
Returning this year is Fringe! is the mainstay, the festival’s sexy shorts programme.
Special screenings include this year’s Cult Classic, Jennifer’s Body, presented with live entertainment, and Steamy Intimacies, which will bring steamy short films into the unique space of Hackney Wick Community Sauna.
Dyke Video Dungeon
Curated by Sweatmother and returns for a second edition, Dyke Video Dungeon celebrates the power of the lesbian music video.
Queer Makers Market
Presented with Sissy Anarchy, Queer Makers Market creates space for transfemme creators and artists.
Fringe! Arts programme
Consisting of two exhibitions, Queer Family at Rich Mix will showcase the diversity and warmth of queer families submitted by our audiences and collaborators and Uncensored Pleasures at Live Art Development Agency explores dyke desire.
Shock! Horror! Probe! discussion
This panel discussion explores queer presence in the horror genre whilst Closeted Desire will provide festival audiences an opportunity to share their own experiences in an open-mic event.
The Love Hub
In collaboration with The Love Tank, The Love Hub will return for a sixth year with a variety of free events, sessions and talks on sex, wellbeing and relationships.

Digital Connections: Intimacy and Technology exploring intimacy, tech, sex work and mental health.

More events will be held across Rich Mix and The Common Press, including Rope Bondage 101, Embodiment for Intimacy and talks about Sex Compulsion, Queer Parenting, and a panel on Bottoming/Topping.
There will also be Cruising Monologues, panels on DIY Healthcare and Travellers & Queer Culture with the programme wrapping up with Pups win Prizes.
Where and when is Fringe! Queer Film & Arts Festival 2024
The festival will be held at Rich Mix, Genesis Cinema, Rio Cinema and The Common Press and Hackney Wick Community Sauna. The programme runs from 14 – 22 September 2024.
