If you’re visiting us, I’ve included a couple of residencies so no matter when you might be dropping in on the big smoke, there’s a couple of things you’ll be able to catch no matter what! But as always, I encourage you to explore – there’s lots of find in this wonderful city, but here’s a few places that are a good pick to start from!

Play the video to watch Martha take us through September’s cabaret picks

Cabaret Pick No.1

The George & Dragon in Greenwich is celebrating their 26th anniversary on Saturday 7th September. The longest running gay bar in the royal borough has been the palace for the Duchess who is almost as old as the meridian line itself! Helping the Duch mark the occasion are G&D favourites Sandra, the whore of hampstead heath and Baroness Mary Golds!

Wishing this iconic bar a very happy birthday, here’s to another 26 years! Follow them on Instagram (georgeanddragongreenwich) and on Facebook too for details and what’s on.

Cabaret Pick no.4

Vanity Von Glow, my old “Rough & Ready” partner from many moons ago is one of my faves! She continues to swim in her own lane and I couldn’t be more proud! There’s no one quite like Vanity and she’s back at her Phoenix Arts Club residency in September bringing you a concert like presentation of your favourite Power Ballads with visual effects and rock chick attitude. Follow her on Instagram (vanityvonglow) to learn more about her other shows (I want to go to her wine tasting evenings!) or www.phoenixartsclub.com for details for her weekly show.

Cabaret City In Seconds

CARDIFF is my selection for this month! A vibrant place to visit with two bars carrying the torch for drag cabaret and boy do they carry the torch! Check out the video for a quick run down of these two fabulous venues!

A Cabaret Spotlight on…. THE ADMIRAL DUNCAN

Before we go exploring some lesser known cabaret bars in the city, I thought I’d round of the summer with the last of the major players that give you 7 nights a week of drag cabaret!

A bar that needs no introduction, made infamous by the 1999 bombing, the Admiral Duncan rose like a phoenix in glorious defiance to become of the cities most popular cabaret destinations! Take a look at the video for a bit more info.

You can find Martha D’Arthur at the following venues during September
