National Anthem is a heartfelt coming-of-age story featuring Charlie Plummer as Dylan, a quiet construction worker. Stuck in a cycle of odd jobs to support his family, Dylan seizes an opportunity to work at a ranch. There, he is embraced by a vibrant community of queer rodeo performers who freely explore their identities, providing Dylan with the space to do the same.
This film offers a soulful exploration of self-identity set against a vivid rural Americana backdrop.
Directed by Luke Gilford, National Anthem also stars Eve Lindley and Rene Rosado. The film premiered at SXSW before being showcased at the Toronto International Film Festival and Raindance.
National Anthem is on UK and Ireland digital platforms 9 December from Blue Finch Film Releasing.
