Can you believe we’ve reached the end of the year already!!!! And what a year it’s been – lots of ups and downs, but let’s see if I can’t spread a little festive joy into your lives before the year is out!

I’ve selected some adult pantos, Christmas queens and festive parodies for you this month, as well as an offering for the big day if you don’t fancy the telly box!

Pick no.1:

Who doesn’t love a bit of tongue-in-cheek daftness?! TwoBox Productions are offering up Lord Of The Rims – An Adult Panto for you in the performance space in The Two Brewers.

Pixie Polite has expertly milked every innuendo from this camp tale, which stars a couple of very well-known drag faces.

Tickets are available here. Just quote code QXMAS, you’ll get 10% off!!

Pick No.2:

Down at the City Of Quebec this Christmas, they’ve got you covered for that awkward Saturday between Christmas and New Year by laying on a trio of drag stars so you can plop your stuffed belly down for the whole evening if you wish!

Have a peek at my video to find out who and follow them on Facebook and Instagram (cityofquebec) to keep abreast!

Pick No.3:

After the tremendous sell-out success at their Clapham Grand debut, Ham It Up Productions with Herr and Me are BACK at the Grand with their festive offering on Thursday 12th December. Featuring a raft of popular stars, Shrektacular 2: Ogre All Ye Faithful promises to delight and entertain you with perfectly executed silliness!!

Tickets are available on dice.fm and Outsavvy!

Pick No.4:

In what has become an annual traditional pilgrimage, like Mary to Bethlehem, you’ll find Sandra (the OG virgin) at The Two Brewers on Christmas Day. Who’s joining her this year….. take a peek at the video to find out!!

If you book in advance you’ll get a discounted ticket at £8 too!

Pick No.5:

A firm fixture in the RVT calendar now, this year’s RVT panto (award-winning, doncha know!) is back and once again directed by the lovely Tim McArthur.

Tickets for “Wolfed” are available on their website for the run throughout December and into January (in fact by the time this goes out – it will already have opened!)

Don’t miss out!

City In Seconds…

If you’ve been enjoying my little recommendations of where to catch drag outside the capital, let me show you the venue to be at in Coventry…. Have a glance at this month’s video for a sneaky peeky!

A spotlight on…. The City Of Quebec

For December, I decided to get reacquainted with a venue that I’m very sorry to say I haven’t been to in a while. It’s fair to say that the oldest LGBTQ+ space in London had a fuzzy patch some years ago regarding its identity and sort of dropped off the radar.

It has picked up again in recent years, but the new govnor there, Darren (formerly of the Eagle Bar in Manchester) is determined to get the old girl’s heart beating stronger than ever and back into the very centre of London’s cabaret scene.

To hear what they’ve got planned – take a look at this month’s Spotlight on….

Finally, it’s been lovely bringing you my cabaret choices this year! No matter who are you what you are, who you do or what you do. I wish you a very merry Christmas and a safe and happy New Year. M x
