The story centres around three roommates in a run-down apartment on Staten Island. Terry, an out-of-work actor who can’t keep a job or get a date, spends his time swilling cheap vodka and playing referee to a messy love triangle. Inevitably, the trio come to a crisis during one frantic Christmas weekend.

The Crumple Zone explores modern relationships and is an honest and unapologetic take on how messy they can be but it’s also “laugh-out-loud comedy alongside genuine emotional depth” (A Youngish Perspective).
The play triumphs as its dense script is executed flawlessly. Grimm sets a high standard from his sharp, snappy delivery of Terry’s verbose, sassy wit.
