The Shoreditch Town Hall spring season will include a variety of engaging panel discussions and networking opportunities for artists and those in the arts industry. Additionally, there will be creative workshops, participatory events for the local community, and performances that celebrate the queer community.
A new residency will be launched featuring the technology pioneers DARKFIELD and the Scotsman’s Fringe First Award-winning production, A Little Inquest Into What We Are All Doing Here.
DARKFIELD, 1 – 12 April 2025

DARKFIELD, pioneering producers of immersive experiences, will be taking over the coveted basement space, The Ditch, at Shoreditch Town Hall from April 1st to 12th. This two-week run will feature innovative experiences that blend technology and theatre. As their first live experiences outside of a shipping container, DARKFIELD offers signature sensory effects and 360-degree binaural sound that place participants at the center of intense, evolving narratives.
Following a sold-out run at the BFI, ARCADE will headline the takeover. With a nostalgic aesthetic inspired by 1980s video games, ARCADE’s interactive narrative will explore the changing relationship between players and their avatars. Audiences will be asked existential questions about free will and consciousness in a world where some win and some lose.
A Little Inquest Into What We Are All Doing Here, 11 – 15 March 2025
This Egg leads the season with a compelling production that challenges the complexities of censorship and freedom of expression. Lead artist, performer, and producer Josie Dale-Jones is returning to East London with her critically acclaimed show. After receiving rave reviews at the Edinburgh Fringe in 2024, this thought-provoking and gripping production explores the delicate balance between artistic freedom and societal limitations.
The Queer Noise Collective, 13 March 2025
Following the success of Queer Noise X Summer in The Ditch 2024, The Queer Noise Collective is back with exciting new work from queer poets, musicians, performers, and artists.
An evening of queer celebration that highlights difference and creativity, this event will feature new material from clown Paula Lenoir, poet Ray, and musician Tall Child. Before the show, a social hour encourages participants to connect with others from the queer community. Visitors will also have the chance to win a raffle, with proceeds going towards funding gender-affirming surgery. Don’t miss out on this uplifting experience!
The spring season will further Shoreditch Town Hall’s commitment to supporting the development of the arts.
Devoted and Disgruntled, 12 -14 April 2025
Devoted and Disgruntled will take place from April 12th to 14th and is Improbable’s nationwide conversation about theatre and the performing arts. This year, it will celebrate its 20th anniversary with a special event in the UK capital. The focus will be on discussing the future of theatre and the performing arts and exploring what actions we can take.
With no fixed agenda or keynote speakers, the gatherings will utilise Open Space Technology to host events where every voice can be heard, and no topic is off-limits.
STAMP, 21 May 2025
Shoreditch Town Hall will host STAMP (Supporting Theatre Artists and Makers of Performance) Connects. This event aims to break down barriers between independent artists and the organisations that support them. The afternoon will feature engaging panel talks, open discussions, and networking opportunities, allowing artists and companies to connect with up to 20 London-based arts organizations, including the King’s Head Theatre, Soho Theatre, Theatre Deli, and Pleasance Theatre.

Celebrating International Women’s Day
The women-led venue will celebrate International Women’s Day with a series of events hosted by their talented team. On March 8th, there will be an empowering workshop titled “Introduction to Bollywood Dance,” led by Devashree Pande from the Town Hall. Devashree began her professional dance career in 2006 with the SHIAMAK Group, the world’s largest Bollywood dance academy. Participants can dive in to Bollywood dance, learning movements to some of the best-known songs from this vibrant genre.
Shoreditch Town Hall History Tour on 8 March 2025
Cultural Programme Manager Susannah Bramwell will lead a special edition of the Shoreditch Town Hall History Tour on March 8th. This tour will highlight the stories of influential figures such as Sylvia Pankhurst, women’s rights advocate Helen Taylor, and Shoreditch’s first woman mayor, Henrietta Girling OBE, among others. Attendees will have the opportunity to explore areas that are typically closed to the public and learn about the evolution of Shoreditch Town Hall, from a 19th-century municipal building to its status as a leading arts venue today.
The Town Hall Tea Dances
The Town Hall Tea Dances will take place monthly throughout the season, specifically on April 7th, May 6th, and June 16th. These events offer audiences a delightful opportunity to dance the afternoon away in the beautiful Assembly Hall. First-time attendees can enjoy a special ticket price of just £3.
Additionally, there will be a Beginners’ Dance Class led by former world champion ballroom and Latin dancer Raymond Root from 12 pm to 1 pm before each dance event.
