The Players Bar, the original Late-Night Piano Bar in the heart of London’s West End, announces a series of events in celebration of their 35th Anniversary, launched with a new Musical Theatre Singalong Night. Every Wednesday, a different pianist leads a 90-minute showtunes sing-along of West End and Broadway hits.

As the original West End piano bar and the only one situated inside a theatre, The Player’s Bar celebrates its unique history with a series of regular themed nights each week, to celebrate the joy of spilling out of a theatre after a great show and into a bar where the show continues with live music until 2am.

“We are thrilled to honour the long-standing tradition enjoyed by Charing Cross Theatre, which started as a Victorian Musical Hall, here under the arches in the heart of London’s Theatreland. The Players Bar has been a space where performers, front-of-house staff, backstage staff, casts, and audience members alike have come to relax before or after a show around our grand piano.”

‘The Show After the Show’ features The Players Bar’s resident pianist Lee Ormsby and a host of other talent playing the biggest and best-loved hits from West End shows past and present, leading a singalong around the grand piano every Wednesday from 10pm-11.30pm at The Bar Where It All Started, 35 years ago. The music continues long after the curtain comes down across town with much-loved showtunes for an hour and a half of free entertainment for London theatre goers- ‘you’ve seen the show, now come to the show after the show!’
