After the successful four-week run of Among Angels at The Courtyard Theatre in Hoxton in 2019, Seraphim Theatre Company presents Walking Each Other Home.

Walking Each Other Home is a tragicomedy set in the cramped confines of a dilapidated cottage in Norfolk on the hottest day ever recorded in the UK.

Due to a family crisis, Michael, a gay middle-aged digital nomad, returns home from Peru to visit his homophobic father, Frank. However, Frank is now suffering from early-stage dementia and is being cared for by Sandeep, a young, mysterious gay Sikh man. Meanwhile, Michael is struggling to process unresolved childhood trauma after a particularly intense ayahuasca ceremony in the Amazon jungle.

The audience is invited to view this deeply spiritual and beautiful work through three unique perspectives: Frank’s experience with Alzheimer’s, Michael’s devotion to Amazonian shamanism, and Sandeep’s Sikh faith.

“I’m excited to direct this brilliant new play. It looks at dementia, love, and care in ways that feel honest, human and deeply relatable.”
