27/04/12: XXX Club is located in the heart of Kings Cross, a few minutes walk from the main station and tucked away in the discreet basement of Cenral Station.
Held the last Friday of each month from 6.30pm till 9.30pm, with occasional midweek events, it’s the prize feather in any exhibitionist’s leather hat. We eased ourselves into the night chatting to the barman and promoter Mitch, who explained the concept.
What goes on here? Well, the club is split into two rooms: on one side is the bar, and on the other side of the black curtains is a large playroom where the intimate encounters between the patrons is filmed.
I was limited to taking photos in the bar area (for obvious reasons), but of course flitted from room to room for, shall we say, professional reasons – I had to see what was going on to write about, you know.
The crowd was friendly and relaxed, a mixed bunch of guys, with slings and beds provided for added entertainment. Filming takes place in the main playroom and each customer receives a DVD of the night’s action at the end of the party.
And to maintain the mystique, masks are provided for hire for the guys who don’t want their faces to be seen in filming. All very Eyes Wide Shut. Tom Cruise would be proud. So if there are any voyeur’s out there that wanna get busy in public and be filmed doing so, head on down and get involved in the action, its a pretty wild.
