08/10/16: Circa is THE PLACE TO BE on Saturday nights! It was absolutely rammed, as always.
Circa 5th Birthday
05/05/16: Can we just take a moment to celebrate one of the coolest bars that’s ever been?
24/10/15: This weekend at Circa marked a momentous event: it was the very last weekend they would be closing at 1am on a Saturday.
15/05/15: Discipline at Circa was packin’ on Friday night, meaning it was fudge-packed to the roof. Stuffed full of delectable boys of aesthetic brilliance, dressed in their take-me-home-and-ravage-me attire.
Circa 4th Birthday
03/05/15: Picture it. Soho. Bank Holiday weekend. Pulling up to Circa’s front entrance, we were greeted with a gaggle of over-gesturing drags, fit boys and tiddly regulars queuing to re-enter the little bar that packs a mighty punch. Why?
06/03/15: At the end of another working week, where better to loosen that tie and treat yourself to a well-earned be vvie (and jaegerbomb) than at Soho’s Circa bar?
Soho Bars New Years Eve
31/12/14: Soho Bars New Years Eve
Circa Late Nights
05/12/14: Oh, ‘tis the season to go all damn night! And while Soho hasn’t been renowned for its super late night action in recent years, Gawd bless Circa and their 4am late licenses that will continue right up until the end of 2014!
Circa’s 3rd Birthday
08/05/14: As if it’s been three years since a bar that’s become one of Soho’s most popular hangouts first opened its doors.
Soho Easter Bars Round-Up
18-21/04/14: With all the shiny adverts, bells and whistles that accompany the arrival to our shores of various visiting continental mega clubs, it is very easy to become complacent and forget just how lucky we are to have the breadth and diversity of permanent gay venues right here in the city that are open day-in and day-out, come rain or shine.
06/07/13: It wouldn’t have been a proper Saturday night out if we didn’t show our face at Circa.
15/06/13: It’s such a shame that going for ‘one’ drink always turns into two or three (dozen). Actually it’s not so much a shame as it is fabulous.
CIRCA’S 2ND BIRTHDAY
02/05/13: It’s already been two years since Circa opened its doors and being loyal patrons we thought it would be rude had we not joined them for a drink - or six - well, it was their birthday after all.
NIGHT-BY-NIGHT AT CIRCA
Circa is the bar on the block that’s hot to trot, having lit up Frith Street since it opened with its unique combination of great music, charismatic DJs and fit boys. Everyone on the scene wants to be seen here at the weekend and the queue for the door can be stretching down the street. We spoke to head man Alan Winter, the only bar owner in Soho who bought a bar because his monthly drinks bill was pissing him off, and his harem of sexy DJs about why they think Circa has become the place to be for the doyens of Soho town…
20/12/12: The Thursday before Christmas and Soho, naturally, was poppin’. So nice to see so many sodomites out celebrating the birth of our Lord Jesus Christ! And the hottest homosexuals in town were to be found at, where else, Circa, where the festive cheer was at ridiculously high levels.
Wednesday nights will never be the same again, as Circa plans to keep you captivated with four stellar spinners on rotation and a plethora of buff boys. Detained is Soho’s hottest new midweek sesh, and we sent master interrogator/petite criminal Lee Dalloway to get the DJs to confess to their own tales of wrongdoing…
MUNROE BERGDORF’S BIRTHDAY BASH
14/09/12: What could be better than spending a night in one of my favourite bars with one of my favourite gyals?
10/08/12: [Phone rings] Me: Hello… Kris Di Angelis: I want to go out tonight and be a vile old lush. Me: You can do that at home, and frequently do! Kris Di Angelis: Quiet slag, I’ll pay for your drinks. Me: Ok, I’ll come…
CIRCA 1ST BIRTHDAY
03/05/12: We can’t believe it's been a year since Soho was abuzz with rumours of a shiny new homoxual bar. It doesn’t seem like five minutes ago since the Circa crew were putting the finishing touches to this small but perfectly formed venue for opening night.
A CIRCA CELEBRATION
The newest member of Soho’s delightfully dysfunctional and drunken family has firmly established itself as one of the most popular bars on our fair scene. Ahead of Circa’s first birthday celebrations next week, we sent Lee Dalloway to chat with owner Alan Winter and their stellar line-up of DJ talent.
