London Friend is the UK’s oldest charity for LGBT people. It was established in 1972 to help the health and mental well-being of the LGBT community of London. As it’s grown and developed over the years, their care and subject matter have extended to issues like drug use, homelessness and coming out. Their primary contemporary concerns focus on chemsex, and the rise of crystal meth in London.

But they pretty much address every trial and tribulation you might come across as an LGBT person, and do their best to help you in any way they can, with a team of over a hundred trained volunteers.

They’ve received numerous prestigious charity awards, including The Queen’s Award for Voluntary Service, and The National Diversity Award.
