Fetish For All

Clonezone’s Topher Taylor gives us the lowdown on their latest range, including undies specially made for trans guys

It’s easy for a brand to say ‘everyone is welcome!’ and ‘we have something for everyone!’ but how many people really put their money where their mouths are? We decided as a team that due to feedback from customers on email and social media, that many of our fashion ranges weren’t catering to people who didn’t fit into the Small to Large size range.

Trust me – I know how irritating it is. I have been answering the Clonezone phonelines for years and monitoring the customer services emails. I am constantly feeding these sizing issues back to our brands and it’s not often that they get acted upon. I spoke to a particular brand about my frustration at the lack of diversity within their models. Last week, I was shown a look book featuring a new type of model… the model still had a fabulous sculpted body, sigh, but it’s a step in the right direction.

With the development of the new line of Fetish Gear ‘white’ core range, we wanted to expand the sizing so dropped to an Extra Small and now go up to Extra, Extra Large which comfortably fit from a 25-inch waist to a 40 inch. The line gives underwear fans of most sizes the ability to help themselves feel sexy with a selection from briefs, boxers, jockstraps, jock briefs and jock boxers. I don’t want to sound trite or cheesy, but it really is important to me as someone working for Clonezone that people feel comfortable and, most importantly, welcome in our stores. I’ve utilised our social media over the past few years for this reason entirely – letting people know how I am (personally) bored of underwear models.

The ‘CORE’ range is a basic brief made of soft cotton, featuring a bulge-boosting pouch for bulge enhancement. The soft and gently ribbed white fabric is detailed with a contrasting waistband and bold coloured piping – a gentle nod to the hankey code, which gives admiring eyes a sneak-peak at what your kinks and curiosities are. I have seen the range posted on very slender bodies, very curvaceous mid-sections, and proudly worn by our trans men followers and colleagues. Why is it important even mentioning that the underwear is worn by trans men? Because of the pouch. I had a long conversation with a follower and customer who chose the range for this exact reason. Whether or not you choose to wear a packer, the piping allows this brief to sit without sinking inwards and the bulge-boosting pouch pocket inside can easily hold a packer… if that’s your vibe. Porn performer Luka Grey mentioned “I have to say that part of the reason I chose mine is for the pouch. Although I don’t pack all the time now, I like having the option and tend to favour jocks that have them”

We have a long way to go but trust me, I am working on it. If I have to sit in our board room and argue the point with every single underwear brand that we stock… I will. If you follow us, keep the selfies coming. The range is now available both online and in-store and if you aren’t sure about what style to go for or what the best fit will be for you, feel free to email me [email protected] or shoot me a DM on Twitter @helloiamtopher and I’ll be more than happy to guide you through.
