In a bold and exceptionally rare move for a London nightlife venue, South London watering hole The Royal Vauxhall Tavern has made the decision to lower some of the prices on its beverages.

Effective immediately, all their draught beers and lagers have been reduced by 30p. They say the move was ensure that the venue remains accessible for anyone who wants to come.

“We are delighted to announce that all our draught lagers and beers will be reduced by 30p a pint,” says manager James Lindsay.

“On Thursday we negotiated and secured our price directly with the brewery and due to the volumes that we sell, we are delighted to pass this back to the loyal customers who support us.”

“It is always our intention to keep Royal Vauxhall Tavern affordable and therefore we are pleased to share this good news with you.”

The Royal Vauxhall Tavern is one of the best loved and historic LGBT+ nightlife venues in the UK. They’ve appeared in a variety of TV shows, documentaries and movies including the Absolutely Fabulous movie, starring Jennifer Saunders and Joanna Lumley.

They were saved from developers last year.
