Rays of Resistance: A Night of Art, Activism, and Community at Shoreditch Town Hall.

This isn’t your ordinary night out. Rays of Resistance is a celebration of LGBTQ+ artistry and HIV activism and is a call to action, reminding us of the ongoing fight for equality and the importance of community support.

A Dazzling Array of Talent

The night is presented by ROY INC and promises a dazzling array of performances, including a special headline set by Tom Rasmussen. Prepare to be mesmerised by poignant photographs from Bishopsgate Institute, an electrifying dance piece from members of London’s ballroom scene, and thought-provoking artworks celebrating the power of art and HIV activism. In addition, the legendary Pam Hogg will be keeping us dancing with a closing DJ set.

A Tribute to Heroes and a Look Forward

A particularly touching highlight will be a tribute to the UK AIDS Memorial Quilt, presented alongside singing from Victoria Park Singers, an award-winning choir of more than 40 people. This poignant segment will honour the heroes who paved the way for progress in the fight against HIV stigma, reminding us of the power of collective action and the importance of continuing their legacy.

Positive East: Champions in the Fight

Rays of Resistance isn’t just about entertainment; it’s about making a tangible difference. All proceeds from ticket sales will go directly to Positive East, a vital London-based organization dedicated to supporting people living with HIV. Their tireless work in providing vital services, from benefits advice to mental health support, is a lifeline for many.
