Sunday 29 August will see Brighton Marina come alive in celebration of Pride with its Drag’on Boat Party, a brand new entertainment concept.

Between 1 – 5pm on Bank Holiday Sunday, The Village in Brighton Marina will be transformed into a glittering, plume-filled extravaganza with three well-known Brighton based Drag artists performing live throughout the afternoon as well as  professional dance groups The Sass Squad and ODC from Marina Studios.

The Drag’on Boat Party will be hosted by the drag queen of drag queens and star of reality TV show ‘Faking it’ Dave Lynn. Dave has been in the business for 30 years entertaining crowds in Brighton and around the UK and is delighted to be able to perform in his own town during the month of Pride.

Dave Lynn told QX, ‘I’m really looking forward to hosting Brighton Marina’s Drag’on Boat Party and the ability to perform in front of a home crowd. Our own little pride. After all, this is Brighton and who doesn’t love Brighton? It is going to be a really fun afternoon and I am really excited to be able to work with my fellow Drag artists.”

Dave will be accompanied by fellow Drag Queen extraordinaire Portia De Fosse who has a worked as a West End performer as well as an entertainer for big-name brands including Benefit Makeup and the very first RuPaul’s Drag Con UK, and Snow White Trash – The UK’s ‘Saxiest’ Drag Queen who comes armed with her her saxophone, powerhouse vocals and sassy wit. Snow White Trash will be entertaining the audience at the Marina with her sing-a-long numbers and hilarious quips.

Snow White Trash added “I can’t wait for the Drag’On Boat Party! Brighton Pride may be cancelled but Pride is all year round and I can’t wait to celebrate in the iconic Marina!’ The day will be filled with music, song and dance and a lot of lipstick and false eyelashes. Fabulous Darling!”

One number sees all 3 drag queens and the dancers singing and dancing to Gloria Gaynor’s ‘I am what I am.’
