Gay night Rooster – NEW EVENT REVIEW – a glamorous splash in Soho

Rooster launched with a CROW last week on October 3rd (“it’s October third”) as Thursday nights got camp again.

Flapping into famed Soho nightspot Club 49, it was a glam who’s who of the scene, from recording artist MNEK to fab model/activist Munroe Bergdorf and total slag Vinegar Strokes (hey Vinny). Club 49 has played host to a number of iconic nights over the years, including Jodie Harsh’s gorgeously aspirational Room Service.

Tunes were kept spinning by fab DJs Alexis Knox and Guillherme and there were lots of gorge boys slurping strong vodka cokes and a jagerbomb or five.

The general vibe was high camp, high glamour – complete with gorgeous men, effortlessly cool music and celebrities your cool Central Saint Martins pal would be jealous of you meeting. “You met them in SOHO?!”

Thursday nights used to be one of the biggest of the week but there’s been a bit of a drought lately so it’s great to have something fun, fresh and vibrant back on Soho’s neon-lit streets.
