Please note, for this train journey you will be required to arrange your own return train ticket, which you can purchase through the usual ticket providers online in advance for roughly £15 return. If you have your own personal travel pass you may also get cheaper options for yourself using that.

Trains to Balcombe.

You will be getting the 9:35 ThamesLink train from London Bridge, arriving in Balcombe at 10:16am.

Meeting point.

You will meet outside WHSmith at London Bridge Station at 9:10am (by the ‘Meet at the Heart’ meeting point on the lower concourse. You will be boarding the train as soon as boarding commences to try and ensure everyone can all get a seat, so please arrive no later than 9:15am.

Return to London.

You will be taking the train back from Balcombe around 5pm. WLQP expect that this adventure walk will take approximately 6 hours with rest points and breaks planned throughout, however they cannot guarantee exactly what time train we will be taking back to London.

What to bring.

Comfortable walking boots/shoes are required for this walk. The route is mostly flat, but there will be some points where you will need to walk up hill, and this trek is known to be very muddy!

Drinking water is essential. There are parts of the walk where there will be long distances and no shops to buy supplies.

Lunch and snacks. WLQP will plan for rest breaks throughout the walk but please bring a pack lunch with you as there may not be any opportunity to purchase food when we take our lunch break.
