In a battle between genders and generations for power, love, and respect, Queer Voices have created a burlesque, exuberant comic-opera performance with fearless casting. The production crosses the boundaries between the audience and performers. They’ve transformed The Merry Wives of Windsor into a guerilla opera that abolishes archaic, operatic hierarchy and experiments and challenges traditional gender roles in Shakespeare’s play. Queer Voices are Norway’s first and only Queer opera company.
