21/09/17: The Eagle had a brief break from being South London’s premier disco palace to step out as a gallery space! Before you know it, it’ll be packed to the rafters with Goldsmiths students wearing vintage Ellesse, putting on conceptual interpretations of the socio-political impact of the Slurp Ramp. Or it won’t. Anyway, supercute illustrator Andrew Ahern was exhibiting his Storm Trooper daubings, each of them dragged up as queer icons such as David Bowie, Tom of Finland, and Divine. They were camp, kitsch, and colourful; right up our straza!
