31/03/13: At QX Towers, we’re more than partial to a cheeky pub lock-in! We’ve found most of our business/shags/story ideas in various drunken stupors post-trading hours! But Clapham’s finest, Kazbar, have taken things up a notch with their awesome (and legal!) Sunday Lock-in, which make sure Sarf London homoxualists end the weekend on a high.
Ram-packed with a rather buff and lively crowd, the Sunday night atmosphere was sparkling, no doubt buoyed even further with the additional treat of an extra day off work for the Easter Holiday, and an appearance by the fabulous Jaki Graham, performing live for the merry Clapham cuties.
Now, ‘fabulous’ is a term that can be bandied around far too easily, especially in delightful fag rags such as ours, but Jackie Graham is serious tings, gyal! My fellow Brummie brought the house down with a mix of classic and new tuneage, and worked the crowd like the seasoned pro she is!
Sashaying on to the stage with a mix of classy banter and a ridiculously warm, fun-loving stage presence that Simon Cowell wishes he could bottle and sprinkle on his largely soon-to-be-forgotten reality TV wannabes, and that voice! BOOM! Powerful, honey-soaked and pure soul. A delightful addition to Kazbar’s rollicking Sunday night shenanigans, and a real coup for the bar, too. A wonderful evening.
