27/07/12: As David Beckham was sailing down the Thames and Her Majesty was parachuting from a helicopter into the Olympic stadium, we were raising a glass (or ten) to our country and the fine display we were putting on for the rest of the world.
Ku Bar projected the events across their screens so we could enjoy the breath-taking performances as we drank, and if the Olympic ceremony wasn’t your thing, then there were plenty of athlete-look-alikes in the bar to feast your eyes upon.
After indulging in way too many of the cheap drink deals, things started to get blurry – a cauldron being lit became a Britney video, we started trying to copy the moves we’d seen and eventually ended the night dancing for gold, surrounded by Ku bar hotties.
It was all in all a good night, and we’re hoping we’ll be recovered in time for the closing concert.
