NIGHT-BY-NIGHT AT CIRCA

Circa is the bar on the block that’s hot to trot, having lit up Frith Street since it opened with its unique combination of great music, charismatic DJs and fit boys. Everyone on the scene wants to be seen here at the weekend and the queue for the door can be stretching down the street. We spoke to head man Alan Winter, the only bar owner in Soho who bought a bar because his monthly drinks bill was pissing him off, and his harem of sexy DJs about why they think Circa has become the place to be for the doyens of Soho town…

TUESDAYS: TWERK

Soho’s hottest new Boy/Girl/Hotness Jonathan Bestley brings you sizzling tunes, cheap drinks and social networking spankings…

Jonathan says: “Every night at Circa feels like you’re at a party at the DJ’s house. Whether its a Sunday with Dusty full-on belting out Ethel Merman or tequila-drenched Munroe on a Friday screaming about her starving pussies, there’s always this feeling that you’re in their living room for the night. TWERK is just like my front room; I’m spinning around knocking furniture over and generally causing havoc and destruction whist being chased by Grandma Alan and her irate care team – our lovely barmen. It’s just like home really…”

WEDNESDAYS: DETAINED

Come get Detained for some locked-up dance, pop and R&B remixes brought to you by the biggest and best midweek DJs! Including Kris di AngelisAttack Attack AttackMunroe Bergdorf and Jonathan Bestley, plus get your by now legendary Detained mugshot against the convicts’ wall.

Attack Attack Attack says: “Munroe Bergdorf plays regularly for my Super Electric Party Machine (which I run with the legendary Larry Tee every Friday at East Bloc) and she introduced me to Jagerbomb pushing landlady Alan and the rest is history! I bring East-side swag and exclusive new hits from my label, Carnage Music.”

Kris di Angelis says: “Circa memories? There was the time I got a round of applause from the crowd when I arrived as I’d announced I was going there just to drag my balls along Munroe’s leg! The time we DJ’d almost entirely from the floor of the booth because Munroe couldn’t remain upright in her HOOF shoes! The time I came out of there so pissed that when I heard a hilarious story JoshYou Are was telling me I decided to Facebook the punch line, which was ‘I just need to be wiped’. That and the naked boys, the drunken trannies, and then when Alan’s mood ‘turns’. That bar’s fucking amazing.”

THURSDAY: VS.

The two super sexy hot messes that are Munroe Bergdorf and Adam Turner bring you scorching tag team action with a night of pop, R&B and house mixes to get you ready for the weekend. It’s also the Room Service pre-party so expect the crowd to be ultra sexy!

Adam Turner says: “I guess Circa is so loveable for many reasons. The boss, Alan, has worked tirelessly on getting all the different aspects of the bar right. We have a fantastically close knit team, so there’s a real family feel to it. I have so many favourite moments, but for me, New Year’s Eve last year was fantastic – we all worked really hard to make the night as exciting as possible – and it definitely came off.”

FRIDAYS: DISCIPLINE

One of the scene’s hottest divas Munroe Bergdorf spins a truly unique mix of pop, commercial house and R&B. This girl only plays the most up-to-date music around. Expect Munroe to be draped in boy toys messing around in the booth and spankings all round!

Munroe Bergdorf says: “The Queen’s Jubilee street party was a definite Circa highlight from last year! There was a really great buzz throughout Soho and everyone was really hyped. Kris Di Angelis and I played a back-to-back DJ battle which sent Frith Street into a frenzy. Was an awesome and extremely drunken day.”

SATURDAYS: JUST ADAM TURNER

The super-talented and smokin’ hot Adam Turner spins the most cutting edge beats to freshen up Soho’s sound, with full frontal unapologetic dance remixes of all the top tunes and floor filling hits.

SUNDAYS: STUDIO

Dusty O brings you the campest Sunday nighter on the block: expect disco, camp, showy, guilty pleasures. Look out for the last hour of full on show tunes and dance until you die musical treats.

Dusty O says: “Circa is without doubt now the best bar in Soho. It’s welcoming and has a great and mixed clientele. I love the way Alan is always there keeping an eye on proceedings. Musically, I get away with more than most on Sundays. I don’t think I have ever seen a sight like Alan and Jonathan Bestley pogo’ing to ‘Hava Nagila’ at the end of the night!”
