The Dame Edna Experience
28/08/16: Just over a month ago, there were queues around the block of people hoping to find themselves undergoing Jonathan Hellyer’s Dame Edna Experience after 3 years of absence.
GMFA/RVT Sports Day
29/08/16: With the Olympics over and the Paralympics not yet started, we felt we needed our sportsy fix this weekend, so the 10th GMFA/RVT Sports Day felt like the perfect opportunity to drag ourselves from ogling athletes on TV and get our sedentary butts to the Vauxhall Pleasure Gardens to… well…ogle the “athletes”.
28/06/2016: As you MIGHT have heard, we did a comedy roast of cabaret legend and silver-tongued siren Myra DuBois at the RVT. It was in aid of HIV charity Terrence Higgins Trust. Which of course she wasted no time in making a joke about. “If you’ve got HIV, just reach into the buckets and take the money back” she said, within approximately two minutes of being on stage “it’s your money anyway.”

Sunday Social @ RVT
13/03/16: It’s 6pm in the packed Royal Vauxhall Tavern and the laid-back crowd of happy bears and friendly ex-clubbers are already under the spell of one of London’s best stand ups, Myra Dubois.
10/02/16: In keeping with the Vauxhall Tavern’s ethos of showcasing variety and original performance, Cabaret Roulette is a regular night in which performers are encouraged to let their creative juices flow over.
07/02/16: Late Sunday afternoons, the fag ends of the week-end, precursors the working week to come, can be pretty morose and depressing.
Sunday Social @ Royal Vauxhall Tavern
23/08/15: Sunday was the Royal Vauxhall Tavern’s Sunday Social – a weekly afternoon of top cabaret and world-class DJs, over a 10-hour session at “the friendliest gay venue in town” – where the gorgeous crowd were welcomed to “booze, cruise, cabaret and dance”.
The LipSinkers at the RVT
07/08/2015: Last Friday night the RVT welcomed back Edinburgh Fringe festival darlings and alternative four-piece drag troupe The LipSinkers.
Royal Vauxhall Tavern
23/07/15: A whole host of celebs descended on the RVT for the R U Coming Out Summer Party, including Alesha Dixon of The Boy Does Nothing fame, Gabrielle (!) and Martha D’Arthur (Ok we’re stretching the definition of ‘celeb’ a bit now).
RVT presents T’Pau
03/07/15: As well as the RVT’s already jam-packed schedule of events, the powers that be are casually sprinkling in some exclusive one-night-only live music gigs featuring familiar musical artists, and so far, these nights are proving to be very popular.

05/04/15: WHOOOO goes to the 99p shop, buys some garden refuse bags and turns in to a couture dress?
SANDRA GETS ROASTED!
Jason Reid goes behind the scenes of London’s first ever DRAG ROAST, brought to you by QX, Terrence Higgins Trust and the legendary RVT! Starring the ‘Whore of Hampstead Heath’, Sandra, who will be getting royally roasted by her pals Titti La Camp, Lola Lasagne and Dave Lynn. Hosted by Myra DuBois, it’s going to be one helluva evening of cutting barbs and cussing queens! Plus, it’s all for charity with 100% of ticket sales going to THT. Don’t miss it!
A ROAST YOU CAN TRUST
QX and the Royal Vauxhall Tavern are teaming up for a night of razor-sharp barbs, withering put-downs and more than a pinch of smut in aid of HIV and sexual health charity Terrence Higgins Trust.
