BEAR PRIDE 10TH ANNIVERSARY

02/06/12: Britain’s world-famous weather may have doused Jubilee spirits over the weekend, but exultation swept through the air as Bear Pride celebrated its 10th anniversary with an extravagant XXL bash at Pulse on Saturday.

Featuring a bunting-busting bonanza of rip-roaring DJ royalty and beefed up blokes across four rampaging arches, the first instalment of a mammoth two-day party saw a host of hulking homos rockin’ the block through ‘til the morning at one of the most monstrous venues in town.

Massive antics on the dancefloor included Christian M unleashing a panoply of pumping house sounds in the main room that had the big boys going wild, with even more illustrious deck-work to come from Alex Logan. Next door, retro king Joe Egg put his own mark on the festivities in a t-shirt depicting The Smiths’ classic ‘The Queen Is Dead’ album cover, as we got down for a hit-parade of seasoned smashes and lost anthems.

Elsewhere, there was august activity on the lounge terrace with dishy daddies joining coy cubs for bare-chested ceremonials as the thrills continued into the rain-lashed night. Here’s to another decade of Bear Pride and XXL. Long may they reign!
