Bloc Pride

27/06/15:  As the sun went down on one of the most memorable Pride events in London’s LGBT history, QX left the rainbow flag-strewn streets of the West End and joined the East Bloc throng on City Road for a storming Bloc Pride bash.

Taking in a star-studded DJ line up across two dazzling dancefloors, a mirthful mass of beautiful boys and giddy gals made it a proud party to remember at one of the hottest homo-hangouts in town.  Glitzy highlights in the main room saw legendary DJ royalty Princess Julia whipping the crowds into a retro-jukebox frenzy for non-stop pop ‘n’ disco classics.  Elsewhere, things got hot and sweaty next door as the boppers crammed into room two for a bumpin’ set from East London scene-supremo-turned-deck-meister, Richard Mortimer.  Back at ground level and East Bloc door darling, Janisha, provided the warmest of welcomes as a jubilant tide of revelers streamed down the stairs into the night.  Meanwhile, there was much more celebrating to be done with the likes of Ben Jamin, Ex Lovers and Unlucky Bitches keeping the merrymakers entertained right through ‘til 6am!
