25/01/14: I hit the heights of Saturday night by dropping into the depraved depths of East Bloc for BlocHeads’ new make-over “Macho Sluts”. The cavernous confines of East Bloc’s hellishly hot hole is perfectly suited for a maze of muscle, music and mayhem resurrecting the sexy ol’ Tom of Finland days of Chicago Eagle’s subterranean play pit, NYC’s Spike and Amsterdam’s Argos.
First I had to pass the door crew Bloc who figured I was neither “macho” nor “slutty” enough to enter. Superman Lee Dyer came to my rescue (this guy really is everywhere!) grabbed me by my beard and marched me right up to the big capos Wayne and Adele who dubbed me macho-slut worthy lickety-split.
Once inside, I was pressed up hard against so many washboard abs, I could’ve scrubbed my pants clean, if I wore any. A mountain of men, boys, go-go toys and those who love ‘em danced in the CockPit among the chains, leather and sweaty walls to the voracious man-eater beasty beats by main room DJs Tom Stephan, Guy Williams and Dave Kendrick as Richard Mortimer and JonBenet Blonde worked the Pop lounge.
In the CockPit, I ran into the sexy quartet of David M, Jana B, Esther G and the adorable Simon. Well, well, well, fancy meeting you in this sexy corner of gay clubbing…(blush). No time for chit-chat. I clawed, kissed and chewed my way up and out before sunrise turned me to dust where I was kidnapped by a big bear and forced into domestic servitude.
Hosts Andrew Moore and glam-whore high priestess Ursula Snakes have slithered out from under with Macho Slut DJ crew Ollywood, Julian Smith and Ray Noir to wrap us in their coils and drag us all down, down, down where the wild things are. A fresh take on a classic scene of underground funk and fuck with tunes to match.
