31/12/11: Vauxhall got down for a rollicking New Year’s Eve knees-up as 2011 smash hit, Le Burn, welcomed a crowd of madcaps, misfits and party animals for a shagpile spectacular ‘Big Bang’ NYE bash to round off a year of thrillsome fixtures.
QX Club News checked out a night of good old fashioned antics with a post-modern twist as the ‘Burn crew hightailed it into 2012 with a lavish spread, including a crazed midnight countdown, ‘Hogmanay’ buffet, free booze and surprises galore.
Highlights included Duckie DJ legends, The Readers Wifes, on a one-night stand at the decks with a roof-raising soundtrack of retro raves and dancefloor classics that had the throng causing a pile up under the fairy lights.
Meanwhile, there was plenty of action in the Eagle garden, despite the windswept conditions outside, as the guys ‘n’ gals got all sentimental with hugs and happy tidings. We’re already looking forward to many more Carpet Burn bashes to come – if they’re anything like as good as they were last year we’re in for a treat!
