DIRTY DIANA

20/09/13: QX got down with the Dalston freakz as underground club-nite smash, Dirty Diana, stomped back to Vogue Fabrics for yet another monstrous meltdown last Friday.

Featuring no end of homosexual high-jinks, coupled with a searing soundtrack of rampaging beats, a half-crazed crowd of wayward Eastsiders crammed onto the lo-fi dancefloor for bitch-slappin’ party anthems from the likes of Jacqui Potato, Chema Diaz and Bunni Splanchnik, that had sweat dripping off the ceiling before midnight.

Upstairs the mayhem splurged out onto Kingsland Road as cross-dressers worked their sassy street style alongside international disco queens, Hoxton chavs, minicab drivers et al in the chill night air, whilst a queue of hopefuls snaked out the door with barely a hope of getting in on the action for who knows how long. Meanwhile, we got back in the thick of things for dirrrty dance grooves and homo-socialism at the bottom of a rickety staircase, as those thumping basslines shook plaster off the walls through ‘til mind-bendingly late.

Watch this space for news of Dirty Diana’s next basement blowout!
