12/07/14: Barcode kicked up the dirt Saturday and had us rollin in it like the disco piggies we are at Dirty Disko, their monthly Squat House party.
Mgr. Michal and his crew kept it filthy for the packed house of hot squatters getting their knees dirty to DJs Steven Artiss, Norbert, Mista Pierre and Alex Georgiou’s Nu Disko mix of funky house and techno layered with uplifting vocals.
The front bar spun decadent Nu-Disco with hi-energy house and trippin vocals that had us dancing all the way to the main room where the dirty disco got downright grungy with throbbing basslines and hungry drums giving us danceloads of guilty pleasure.
One cowboy shakin the dust off his disco boots was Steven, a student from Bristol, who came to Barcode for the first time. “The music and the crowd are great. This place is so much fun, the people and staff are so friendly and made me feel so comfortable. I’m so glad I came here.”
“We’re bringing a bit of East End underground grunge to Vauxhall and I love it!” cheered Steven Artis. The crowd of humpy hotties loved it, too, jam-packing both dance floors til 6am.
Vauxhall just got that much funkier.
