10/11/12: Last Saturday gone, I lost not one, but five friends in the throng of East Bloc’s live and kicking dancefloor, and was unable to find them again!
The next day I was to discover, far from panicking, the group stayed below ground in the club’s sweltering heat until sunrise – throwing themselves ravenously, and without second thought, into baseline upon baseline.
Why? Simply because, when another helping of a night like Dish is served up, you indulge!
Yes, Dish was back in a big way – and East Bloc’s extensive family of revelers was out in force to feast on fine music and whatever else the boys were bringing to the table!
For the main course, in the banquet hall – or big room – were headline acts Tom Stephan and Borja Peña, feeding us our favourite chopped, skewed and fabulously beefy house beat selection.
Side Dish was catered with the audio candy of DJs Jacqui Potato, Jonbenet Blonde and Scott Webster – while in the Tapass Lounge, talents Franx de Cristal and Cathal were the cherry on top!
La Pequeña, Melvin and Kane Luke saw to it that the diners were tucking in contentedly to their meals – but as ever, they needn’t have bothered. Please Sir, we’ll have a hell of a lot more.
