30/04/17: It was difficult to move at times at the Eagle on Sunday night, so popular was this bank holiday’s edition of Horse Meat Disco. Not deterred by the sudden rain, people were even queuing round the block for a chance to partake in the bacchanalia throbbing inside. Sam Smith and a group of his friends were there somewhere, lost among the jumping multitude. We are reliably informed that Adam Lambert also made an appearance that night, while a loved-up couple had chosen the place to celebrate their engagement. In case you hadn’t realised yet, Horse Meat Disco is simply the place to be on Sunday night, come rain or shine.
