G-A-Y PRESENTS EVE

08/06/13: If you remember bouncing about to ‘Blow Ya Mind’ and ‘Who’s That Girl?’, then, just like us, you love a bit of Eve.

And how surprised were we when we heard that one of our favourite ladies of hip-hop was paying a visit to our favourite camp hang-out? We then heard she came out in support of Frank Ocean saying, ‘“Frank Ocean was ridiculously brave, to do what he did, to be true to himself that way.

In hip-hop, there are a lot more people that probably should come out” and we realised that Eve truly is as fond of us as we are of her. She came on stage and there was no trace of the bandana or short pink hair that she used to sport, instead replaced by long locks and a Jessie J fringe (before Red Nose Day obviously). And dressed in some amazing boots that made her look like she was from the ultra-glam future, and not the ghetto.

She sang her new single, ‘Make It Out This Town’, which is like a rap anthem for the gays, about being yourself and getting to where you wanna go. The authority in the way she delivers her lyrics will no doubt help to inspire and encourage any young gay hip-hop fans going through a difficult time. Eve the G-A-Ys love you!
