18/08/2012: HAPPY 1st BIRTHDAY LIL’ MIX! It only seems like last week I was at G-A-Y to meet Little Mix for the first time and hear their debut single ‘Cannonball’ which shot straight to number one after winning the X Factor.
Now, as the X Factor returns one year later, these ‘Lil Minxes’ are back to show off their crown and present their hot brand new single ‘Wings’, a fantastic funky pop record with a Disney-fied message about believing in yourself and that strong message coming straight from their little mommas.
The girls wowed on stage drawing huge cheers from the capacity crowd as they showed off their vocal prowess to prove why they deservedly won the show.
Backstage, the ‘Lil’ Mums’ were in full force to support the new release and so was ONE other very special person, showing the right DIRECTION for the girls on their way to stardom (pardon the pun). Yes that sexy ass member from 1D Zayn Malik shunned V Festival and was at Heaven to show his support not only to all the girls but one girl in particular, his lovely girlfriend Perrie Edwards.
Malik told QX that, “Tonight is all about the girls and I wish them the best of luck” and a little birdie tells me that the happy couple’s living arrangements are becoming more permanent, with them living together (everybody scream!). Posh & Becks move over, could this be celebrityland’s new super couple?
