07/07/17: WELL. To kick off pride with a sequin spattered HIGH KICK on Friday 7th, the gregarious Glory kids touched down at Stoke Newington Town Hall. Have you been? It’s lovely. It’s that big round building at one end of the high street, near the park. It usually plays host to things like Queer LGBT Labour Vegan Coffee Mornings (honestly, that was an actual thing at Stoke Newington Town Hall) but that night it was WALL-TO-WALL LIZA! It was, obviously, hilarious, but the most hilarious thing about it was the sheer number of Lizas. One Liza is funny enough, but when it’s a bunch of them all running around being mad, shedding sequins and sambuccas left right and centre, it’s almost too much. Jonny Woo and John Sizzle did a stirring job as the two bowler hat-twirling hosts. HELLO HOW ARE YA, HELLO HOW ARE YA, LIFE IS A CABARET!
