29/04/11: With the confetti barely settled on the union of the century, QX Club News checked out the pump and grind as Vauxhall went regal for a Megawoof! ‘Hardware’ Royal Wedding special last Friday.
A dazzling night of clubbing antics saw a rampant crowd giving thanks to the second-in-line for an extended weekend break, with a stellar DJ line-up raising the roof on a right royal knees-up to rival anything going on at the palace. Highlights included DJ Rob taking the seat of power in the revamped main room alongside an awe-inspiring Tom Stefan, tearing up a red, white and blue riot of galloping grooves that had us genuflecting in his honour. Next door, the likes of Wes Baggaley and Massimo Paramour put the case for London’s party monarchy with a frenetic fly-past of thumping underground beats in the Lounge as some of London’s buffest muscle boyz danced a disco national anthem through ‘til the dawn. The Firm seems to have ensured its survival for at least another few decades after last week’s PR spectacular… let’s hope our world beating club scene lasts just as long!
