18/01/13: The Hoist invited QX down to Vauxhall to go help the rest of the audience vote for their Mr Hoist.
So we called around for some boots, got dressed up and went along, curious how the gay leather scene’s version of Miss Universe was going to play out.
The crowd had really made an effort and with most people in leather caps, jockstraps and harnesses, we felt a tad overdressed but the very friendly organisers told us we were fine.
And about an hour later, due to the free shots they were dishing out to everyone, we no longer cared. There were seven contestants for Mr. Hoist 2012 (unusually numbered from 2 to 8) and each introduced himself, told us what he was into and his dirtiest story.
After hearing most of the stories, we think what we talk about in QX Towers is more hardcore, but then a contestant known only as Bondage Master told us about him, rope and a puppy – we were nearly sick until we realised his puppy is human.
Contestant Tom told us how he and his mother had tea whilst his sub was tied to the bed (what a waste, we’d have had him serving the tea) and then some story was told about pepper, but I missed the end as I was looking for my friend, who I then had to drag away from the sling.
The competition was won by Frankie, who is apparently very well known at The Hoist, and he gets to enjoy a fetish photo shoot in Amsterdam. The competition came to an end, but the night had only just begun and we’re sure Frankie (and others) went on to receive plenty more ‘prizes’.
