16/06/12: Perfectly timed to get us in the mood for Lovebox’s gay Sunday, S.O.S. at East Bloc threw their warm-up party on Saturday night with iconic and cutting edge tunes pumping out from all three rooms.
In the main room Warboy et al kept the packed dance floor electrified with an eclectic mash-up while Princess Julia was off to one side (in all senses) in room 2 and Scottee’s packed box at the back was a camp classic gay wedding come down with ‘Enola Gay’, ‘I Feel Love’ and ‘I’m In The Mood For Dancing’.
The poly-metro-anykinda-sexual crowd as always ran the gamut from spectacled and suited through Hoxton ‘tached homos to grungy waifs, with the odd Grace and Chaka look-alike thrown in for good measure, and with Lovebox ticket giveaways, too, the night defo live up to it’s moniker of ‘Out & Out Fierce!’
