SEPM CHARITY MONSTER

27/10/13: In the wake of eerie St Jude storm warnings over London, some barraged themselves inside and shuddered at the thought of what they might wake up to come Monday morning…

And others chose to forgo sleep at all, forage into the heart of the East London scene and get four-to-the-floor at the SEPM Charity Monster pool party in Aquarium, Old Street. Yes boys, that’s how we do – a Halloween pool party with a slew of performances and coveted scene turntable-slayers on the night an epic force of nature is predicted to reach our shores!

So it was with a wild abandon that the brave few who rocked up, all glitter-bombed and with gashes on their faces, threw themselves into the night; enjoying live performances from East London’s rising underground music Empress, Viktoria Modesta, amongst others – a costume contest held in the emphatically NYC-esque style of Larry Tee, and deviant mixes by names such as Kris Di Angelis, Adamski and Munroe Bergdorf. 6am signalled the dawn of the far-from-dead revellers, and until then they hastened to enjoy every opportune moment under the wicked cover of darkness.
